MAY 7, 2008 - The Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF), a public charity founded by the Estée Lauder family in 2004, is partnering with Jennifer Miller Jewelry to accelerate drug discovery research for Alzheimer’s disease.

“In 2002, I lost my sweet mother, Beverly Miller, to early onset Alzheimer’s disease, and this experience inspired my involvement with ADDF”, said Ms. Miller. “I am pleased to support advanced drug discovery. With more money for research, we can help prevent the suffering of so many patients and their families.”

According to Dr. Howard Fillit, Executive Director of ADDF, “We appreciate Ms. Miller’s generous contribution of her talents to raise awareness of ADDF’s mission and to generate revenue for innovative drug discovery. With the participation of interested people from all fields, we hope to find a cure for Alzheimer’s and dementia-related disease.”

As a result of her connection to ADDF, Jennifer Miller will be donating 15% of sales from her Rose Cut Diamond Bangles set in 18k yellow gold, rose gold, or silver (priced from $1,800-$5,500) during the month of June. They are currently featured in the June 2008 issue of Town & Country Magazine.

The Jennifer Miller Collection includes fashion forward, classic, and estate jewelry and accessories for some of the chicest women in the world. The jewelry is both fine and faux. Ms. Miller’s ever-changing collection can be found at her boutiques, located at 972 Lexington Avenue between 70th and 71st streets in New York City, 28 Jobs Lane in Southampton NY, 55 Main Street in East Hampton NY and her newest location 5 Via Mizner/ Worth Avenue in Palm Beach Florida.

ADDF is the only public charity whose sole mission is to rapidly accelerate the discovery and development of drugs to prevent, treat and cure Alzheimer’s disease, related dementias and cognitive aging. The organization raises and awards funds to academic and biotechnology scientists conducting drug discovery research in this field. ADDF uses a venture philanthropy model to bridge the worldwide funding gap between basic research and later-stage development, using any return on investment to support new research.
