Lauder Power
The Team: Evelyn and Leonard Lauder take philanthropy to another level by raising millions of dollars a year for various causes. This past spring they spearheaded two enormously successful fundraisers, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation's Hottest Pink Party Ever and the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation's Connoisseur's Dinner.

The Benefits: Evelyn Lauder hosted her star-studded gala at the Waldorf-Astoria, where Sir Elton John gave a solo performance for a crowd of 1,000. The ADDF event that Leonard Lauder cochaired took place at Sotheby's. Guests enjoyed dinner and a live auction featuring rare wines that fetched up to $28,000.

The Results: $5 million for the BCRF and more than $1 million for the ADDF. Visit bcrf.org and alzdiscovery.org.
